This flag was created due to the Mexican demand to give up the cannon that the Texans in Gonzales, under Colonel John H. Moore, had borrowed from the Mexican garrison in San Antonio to protect themselves from the Indians. A single shot in early October 1835 kept the Mexicans from retaking the cannon. It featured the Cannon of Gonzales and the first image of the Lone Star. The barnwood framed flag measures 41"W x 30"H and is available and ready to ship.
